7 suspected ATM card hackers arrested in Lagos

.....I hack into Nigerian banks with ease

The police in Lagos State have arrested seven suspected hackers of ATM cards.
One of the suspects, 23-year-old Olalekan Ayoola, whose arrest led to the apprehension of others, said it was easy for him to hack into any bank in Nigeria.

Ayoola, who was paraded yesterday, said he could hack into any bank account using a software he installed in his system.
The suspect disclosed that he had withdrawn millions of naira from different accounts using the software.

The six others arrested based on the confessional statement of Ayoola, according to the police include, Sodiq Olalere; Ayobami Adebayo, 21; Muftau Ibrahim, 25; Ogundiran Adeniyi, 24; Emmanuel Chukwu, 25 and Dare Oyetola, 32.

Ayoola said: “I can hack into any bank account with ease using stolen ATM cards. A friend of mine called Lanre taught me how to use the software. I feed the security number on the ATM into my system and with the aid of the software I will know the amount of money the person has in his or her account.”

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, who paraded the suspects at the command headquarters on Monday, said at about 12:30am October, 7, he received information from a credible source that some armed robbers were sighted making unauthorized withdrawal at Stanbic Bank at Alaba branch, using stolen ATM cards from unsuspecting members of the public.

Edgal said two of the robbers were arrested and others escaped. He said during interrogation, the suspects confessed to belonging to a group of armed robbers popularly called ‘Blue Water Boys’ that had been terrorizing residents of Ojo, Agric, Okomaiko, Ajangbadi, Ijanikin, Iba and environs.

The CP said the suspects further confessed to have robbed the owner of a restaurant at Araromi Street, Iba and in the process dispossessed the victim of some ATM cards and phones.

Items recovered from them included two ATM cards, one black Nokia Torchlight phone, one Infinix Hot 4 phone, three laptops, one iPhone 7 plus, four cut-to-size single barrel locally made guns, 13 unexpended live cartridges, he said, adding that the suspects would be charged to court after investigation.

Nigerian Man Drags Buhari To Court Over WAEC Certificate Saga

A Nigerian man has filed a suit against President Muhammadu Buhari and his alleged inability to provide his academic credential ahead of the 2019 presidential election.

Itsede Kingley in his suit asked the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos to declare President Muhammadu Buhari ineligible to participate in the forthcoming presidential election.

In the originating summons, Itsede prayed the court to declare that an affidavit President Buhari attached to his credentials instead of his certificates which he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were null and void.

He also sought an order from the court mandating INEC to bar the president from contesting in 2019.

However, no date has been fixed for the commencement of hearing of the case with number FHC/U18/1765/18.

Nigerian Government Set To Impose Fine Of $4000 On Overstaying Foreigners

Overstaying foreigners who breach their visa deadline may pay from $200 (N72, 000) to $4000 (N1.8million) as sanctions for attempting to beat the system, according to the Nigerian Government.

According to Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) sources, the sanction however would not apply to citizens of Economy Community of West African States (ECOWAS) as the Nigerian government under the ECOWAS free trade treaty permits free movements of citizens of member states with valid passports – without entry visas into the country.

THISDAY reported that the Nigerian Government has ceded to Concec Limited the concession for effective implementation of the policy and also to generate money from this policy. It was gathered that since the implementation of the policy as approved, foreigners travelling outside the country and those still staying have paid to legalize their stay in Nigeria.

“For a non-EWCOWAS visitor who applied to stay in Nigeria for 90 days, but ended up exceeding his visa by 180 days, the person would be sanctioned with a fine in the sum of $1, 000 or its naira equivalent,” the source added.

“The Federal Government had to introduce this new regime in order to checkmate foreigners who abuse visas granted them by the government.

“It was discovered that some of them intentionally overstay in Nigeria without regularising their papers. The government will do everything humanly possible to stop such abuse.”

“Besides, any non-ECOWAS visitor who intended to stay in Nigeria for a period exceeding 180 days, but not beyond 365 days aggregate in the would pay to the government the sum of $2, 000 or its equivalent.

“Also, any non-ECOWAS visitor who overstayed in the country without authorisation or regularisation would, in addition pay a penalty equivalent of $4, 000,” the source added.

Nigerians Who Think They Have Other Countries Can Go, Says Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday said Nigerians who felt that they had another country outside Nigeria might choose to go.

He said he and others who did not have another country would rather stay back and salvage it together.

Buhari said, “You don’t have to be in uniform to be loyal.

“What I said long ago in 1984 is still valid today. We have no other country but Nigeria.

“Others who feel they have another country may choose to go. We will stay here and salvage it together.”

Oshiomhole Is Cancer, He Must Go Or Else Forget APC ― Coalition

The coalition handed a vote of no confidence and called the APC chairman to honourably resign or be disgraced out of office.

It also warned that if Oshiomhole declined to bow out, the party will suffer disgrace, especially President Muhammadu Buhari, in the coming 2019 general elections.

“By all indications, Oshiomhole has become a visible cancerous tumour to our great party, and the earlier we cut it off; the better for the party and Nigeria.

“The former union activist is attacking all cells and veins of the party. By his press statement yesterday, October 21, 2018, he admitted a gang-up against him from across the country, whatever that means.

“But Oshiomhole ought to understand that a broad-based gang-up among party faithful and stakeholders against the party chairman signifies a vote of no confidence.

“We, the coalition of Aspirants under the All Progressive Congress (APC), wish to states here that the party has already passed a vote of no confidence on the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, therefore, he should resign honourably.

The Suspended Executive Secretary of NHIS Dares the authorities, storms office with police & thugs.

Policemen have been deployed in the headquarters of the National Health Insurance Scheme in preparation for a possible face-off between the suspended Executive Secretary of the NHIS, Prof. Usman Yusuf, and members of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, The PUNCH has learnt.
A source within the NHIS said, “Policemen attached to the FCT have deployed some of their men in the NHIS. The move became necessary in order to forestall a clash between Yusuf’s men and the union.”
Yusuf, who was suspended by the governing council of the NHIS last Thursday, ignored the resolution of the council, insisting that the board had no power to suspend him as this was the exclusive power of the President.

Speaking with The Cable, however, Razaq Omomeji, chairman of the NHIS chapter of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, said Yusuf would meet his waterloo if he stepped into the office on Monday.

Reacting to Yusuf’s non-compliance with the suspension, Omomeji said the suspended ES misinterpreted the Act setting up the agency.

Omomeji explained that the governing board suspended Yusuf, not sack him.

He said by suspending Yusuf, the board lived up to its role as an ambassador of the anti-corruption crusade of the President.

“The council has the power to suspend him and he remains suspended. Not only on suspension, he is to face a panel,” he said.

He added “They are both appointees of the President. Should there be any infraction among them, the council can resolve to put them on suspension.

“They are not sacking him. There are allegations of corruption against him. The panel has decided that he has to face it. So, he can be placed on suspension while the investigation is going on to ascertain the allegations against him.

“Among the reasons he was found wanting is an image capturing machine which the highest amount you can get it in this country is between N400,000 and N450,000; he quoted it as N7.5m to the council.

“If the council had not been careful and had blindly approved it for him, they would say the council connived with him to steal our money. And this is the man going all around saying he is fighting corruption and corruption is fighting back. Who is fighting corruption?

“He has been suspended. If he comes near the office, he will meet his waterloo; let him accept it.

Famed actor Arnold Schwarzenegger posted a photo of himself sleeping on the street under his famous bronze statue, and sadly wrote "How times have changed"...

The reason he wrote the phrase was not only because he was old, but because when he was governor of California he inaugurated a hotel with his statue. Hotel staff told Arnold, "at any moment you can come and have a room reserved for you." when Arnold stepped down as governor and went to the hotel, the administration refused to give him a room arguing that he should pay for it, since they were in great demand.

He brought a sleeping bag and stood underneath the statue and explained what he wanted to convey: "When I was in an important position, they always complimented me, and when I lost this position, they forgot about me and did not keep their promise. Do not trust your position or the amount of money you have, nor your power, nor your intelligence, it will not last. "

Trying to teach everyone that when you're "Important" in the people's eyes , everyone is your "Friend " But once you don't benefit their interests , you won't matter.

" You are not always who you think you will always be, nothing lasts forever."

You are a High Priest of Fake News – Atiku attacks Lai Mohammed (REASONS)

PDP Presidential Aspirant, Atiku Abubakar has attacked Nigeria’s minister of Information branding him the “High Priest of the APC cult of Fake News”.

Atiku accused Mohammed of dishonesty about a statement he made in an article published in an online news medium titled; ‘2019: International media query emergence of Atiku over suspicious source of wealth’.

Below is a statement from Atiku’s camp made available to PoliticsNGR, addressing the comment;

“The attention of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation has been drawn to a sponsored news story on Vanguard newspapers of Saturday, October 20, 2018, with the headline ‘2019: International media query emergence of Atiku over suspicious source of wealth’.

In the said report, not one international media was quoted. Rather, it was the notoriously dishonest All Progressives Congress minister of information, Lai Mohammed, who was quoted alleging that that was what the international media told him.

Quoting the said story, Vanguard reported as follows:

“The minister said: “One curious issue that kept occurring was that anytime I spoke about how we have waged war against corruption, the journalists kept asking me a question. “They asked me: How can you claim to have succeeded in waging war against corruption, when one of the major contestants in the 2019 general elections is actually a man with stupendous wealth but cannot explain the source of his wealth?”

How anyone would take the word of a confirmed liar, as Lai Mohammed, for the Gospel truth is beyond us.

To show you how unreliable Lai Mohammed is, at the lecture in the Royal Institute for International Affairs (Chatham House) with the topic, “Nigeria’s National Unity: Towards Participation and Shared Values”, which was his main reason for going to London, Lai Mohammed said: “we do not need to do anything extra because we have delivered on all our promises and Nigerians are quite happy and satisfied with the government”.

How the minister of information of a government that has turned Nigeria into the world headquarters for extreme poverty can say that is beyond imagination. Is Mr. Mohammed claiming that his party promised and delivered poverty and Nigerians are satisfied with this world record poverty?

If Lai Mohammed can lie openly at Chatham House in front of the international press and diplomatic corps, is it a big thing for him to lie about his accounts with the international media?

The true position of things is that ever since the emergence of His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party after the elective congress of the party on October 6-7, the international media has been agog with praise for Mr. Abubakar and hope for a new dawn in Nigeria.

Reuters praised Atiku as having “long enjoyed support from the business elite in Nigeria’s commercial capital Lagos for his conservative-capitalist ideals”. They went on to further give him kudos for his record in office by saying “as vice president in a PDP administration from 1999-2007, (he) implemented a programme of liberalisation in areas including the telecoms sector.”

The number one policy magazine in the world, The Economist, described His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, “as a business-friendly candidate who will get Nigeria’s economy going.”

Not one single international paper, magazine, TV station or website has had anything negative to say about the Waziri Adamawa’s emergence. That lie only exists in the fallacious imagination of Lai Mohammed.

On the contrary, international media and even reputable global financial institutions have predicted doom for Nigeria should Muhammadu Buhari be re-elected.

According to one of the world’s largest banks, HSBC, “a second term for Mr Buhari however raises the risk of limited economic progress and further fiscal deterioration, prolonging the stagnation of his first term, particularly if there is no move towards completing reform of the exchange rate system or fiscal adjustments that diversify government revenues away from oil.”

On its own part, The Economist wrote off the Buhari administration as a failure, saying “The 2019 elections will be a close contest between the ruling APC and the PDP. We expect the PDP presidential candidate to win.”

Nigerians can no longer be hoodwinked by the Orwellian propaganda that is the signature of this administration.

The 2019 presidential election will be determined by Nigerian voters and not by political soothsayers. Nigerians will make a determination whether to settle for incompetence versus competence; cluelessness versus knowhow; joblessness versus employment; restiveness versus engagement; divisiveness versus unity; nepotism versus merit and bigotry versus inclusiveness.

Court fails to grant Fayose bail, trial adjourned till Wednesday

Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti state, has lost out in his bid to be granted bail by the federal high court in Lagos.

On Monday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Fayose on an 11-count charge bordering on abuse of office.

The charges against Fayose were stealing, receiving money from Musiliu Obanikoro, a former minister, criminal breach of trust, illegal acquisition of property in Abuja and Lagos and illegally acquiring property in the name of his sister in Abuja, among others.

Fayose pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to him.

Subsequently, Kanu Agabi, his counsel, filed a bail application on behalf of his client but Mojisola Olatoregun, the presiding judge, rejected the application and ordered that Fayose should remain in EFCC custody till Wednesday.
The former governor had walked into the head office of the commission in Abuja on Tuesday and has been in custody since then.
He was flown to Lagos on Sunday and brought to the court amid heavy security presence.

While in court, TheCable overheard Fayose saying: “This is just like a magistrate’s court. Why did they bring me here?”

Fayose refused to speak with reporters while he was escorted out of the court by EFCC officials and armed policemen.
Many of his supporters trooped to the court but could not gain access. However, Femi Fani-Kayode, former minister of aviation, who is an ally of the ex-governor, was in court.
In an interview with TheCable, Fani-Kayode vowed to stand with Fayose in his trying moment.
